Iron Age and Ancient Building Techniques

We won't spend much time documenting humanity's material advancements in this stretch of the time line... simply for comparison's sake because science and technology make larger leaps on a vastly larger scale in the latter part of the time line.

The main point here is that with the architectural techniques of the Egyptians, ancient Africans to the south, the Incas, Mayans, and in other ancient cultural centers there is a great display of human ingenuity. The legacy of ruins that are preserved by their own marvelous structural stability — afforded by excellent building techniques — is a testimony to what humans have always had the ability to achieve. Somewhere in time, perhaps with the appearance of Adam, humans started to exhibit much more than simple tool making or simple dwelling structures — which is characteristic of other hominids. Was this more than what evolution could account for by way of a gradual progression of development... indeed there is a lot to consider in this regard... but we'll leave this question for you to ponder.

Note the degree to which the time line's right column reveals a roll out of historical and religious activity. Examine how this foundation of Hebrew history is put in place here. This information overshadows the time line at this point. This is the cornerstone to the time line that appears amid an array of other human activities that are truly global in scope.

Here our focus on the Hebrews opens to a wider span of the window's view. This presence is comparatively diminished as the more secular or material activity comes in other areas of human advancement — this occurs further along time. But what is laid down in the former human record — especially at this point of our tour — is never diminished in importance. This is especially true with regard to upcoming biblical events that are at this point only anticipated at the end of this Time Line's Part II. The proportions of attention on the right and left columns of the time lines seem to shift from the biblical to the scientific and then to a merging at the very end. Keep this in mind as you follow the time line to the very end!

In simplest terms, seeing the shift from column to column and then the merging of all themes with convergence at the end of the time line is the reason for constructing this time-based illustration.
