Yom Teruah – Rosh Hashanah – Surprise

Recommendation: Visit the YouTube video regarding one particular High Holy Day on the Jewish calendar. There is a surprise that everyone–Jewish and Gentile persons both–should hear about. And you can visit that video at this LINK.

To be clear, Yom Teruah is documented to be “the day” designated for a specific purpose. Each year this day starts a period of ten days for reflection and personal repentance and that leads up to another holy day. But when a specific and unique purpose is fulfilled is further described in the video. Reference to Messiah may be easy or hard to accept for some viewers, but the Hebrew Scriptures help to specifically identify who that identity is! In fact, deeper study of the Tanach (the Hebrew Bible) reveals passages in Genesis, Daniel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Zechariah, and many other places in the text that contribute to full identity revealed! One passage often mentioned is in Isaiah stating with the words “Behold my servant … .” (Tanach Isiah 52;13). Then read through all of the rest of chapter 52 to the end of 53. Each year in the reading of the Torah, these verses are typically skipped over … it is time for a complete reading … today!

Many will celebrate Rosh Hashanah without realizing the origin of that celebration … the video provides the surprise and explains the true origin of this celebration day! And to be sure, apples and honey make for a sweet celebration! So, two unique purposes are celebrated on one High Holy Day, but the reality as to why Yom Teruah was set in place in Scripture is given a nice and extremely important explanation in the video.

There Is A New World Coming

Years ago Hal Lindsey wrote a book about a new world coming. The question we might ask today is: “How will we recognize the signs of that world coming to us?”

Look out your window! What do you see in the world today?

As this post is being typed up, divisions, splits, adversarial relationships are evident all around the globe. World leaders contribute to conflict and the idea of global cooperation is a distant and lost concept.

The photo of the cover of the Lindsay book is is from the original edition published in 1973. While the basic study in the text of this book is a biblical look at Revelation, the text touches on a timeline of events looking forward. But the text also looks back to the writings of Daniel. And the text written by John (who penned the text of the ‘apocalypsis,’ i.e., revelation and revealing of Messiah and what brings in the new age, new era, and new world) touches on images, themes, timing, and points made by Daniel in what his text states going back some 500 to 600 years before John was born. As noted online, “Daniel was a righteous man of princely lineage and lived about 620–538 B.C.”

A Divided House Cannot Stand

Today’s polarization and division between countries, political division within countries, and a lack of collaboration and caring … reveals a world in a crumbling state. Indeed, in the past there were periods of decline, but never with as many people that live on planet Earth today!

The book highlighted here is a bit dated in some of its presentation. Yet, some very interesting observations are included in the text! Maybe you can find a copy of the original book, but one important fact is that back in the 1970s Mr. Lindsey wrote about two witnesses who would appear in Jerusalem (Revelation chapter 11). These remarkable individuals would be a sign of a specific event that takes place before the new world arrives. In the 70s the idea that the entire global community–all of us–would be able to see these two witnesses in Jerusalem led to the idea that a TV satellite would make it possible (i.e., Telstar). Fast forward to today and the smartphones and internet streaming services make it even more possible. Once everything is in place to make all the prophetic events work like clockwork, the the teachings, events, and chronology revealed by John and Daniel will come together and take place … a house divided will crumble and the world will need unified leadership. For a time a false leader, the anti-Messiah, will step onto the world stage. A crumbled and fragmented humanity will look up to false leadership. Even today false leaders get unwarranted attention! But the story does not end with that false presence and study of Scripture will prepare you to fully understand the passing of this world and the coming of the next!

A Remarkable Network of Information

One added point that warrants you making a detailed study of the writings of Daniel and John. Simply put, the text of each source requires the other to complete a bigger picture of what is to come. This is like pulling together pieces of a puzzle from two authors and the incredible unity, logic, and good sense the puzzle image makes once assembled! Daniel even gives a means to calculate the year Messiah first appears. John describes churches in cities in a way that outlines historical eras from the time of Messiah’s first appearance to today! The study you might make offers an opportunity to see a remarkable network of information that arises all across he biblical text. That network is evidence that the entire text of Scripture is not simply separate and unrelated writings. Just the opposite, the entire text looks forward (and beyond) the new world that is coming.

A more current book that accomplishes what Lindsay wrote and even goes deeper into the relevant information is Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum’s book: “The Footsteps of the Messiah.” (<– first link is to a bookseller with reviews, but may be a bit more expensive, a ministry website with same book at alternate price … use this LINK)

The Jewish Messiah Has A Name

Messiah is a very specific biblical term. If you read the Hebrew Scriptures, there are many places in the Tanach that point to the Messiah. The identification has been long lost on Israel, but as many of you may know, the identity will become way more apparent to the Jewish people when the time is correct–as it is stated, the ‘veil will be lifted’ and Israel will know, accept, or reject, and then other events will soon follow. Those events are written about in the books of Daniel and what John wrote in the writings that appear in the last book of the Greek text, the Brit Chadeshah (New Covenant)

There is an author, Dr. Fruchtenbaum, who has written a fabulous book about the Footsteps of the Messiah. That volume explains the history, process that prophesy takes humanity through, and focuses on the Jewish Messiah. While WindowView also deals with Science and Change, the Harmony area supports many pages that relate to the Messiah himself.

The book listed here may be a great eye opener for those Jewish and even Gentile persons who have not made the connections between what Messiah in the past accomplished and what Scripture and world events today portend for the future, perhaps very near future.

Messiah has a name that means ‘salvation,’ and that is ‘Yeshua.’ Rabbis have denied this for centuries, but this distraction is nothing but that veil over the eyes of Israel. the Bible’s entire focus centers on events in Israel. Many Gentile preachers think the ‘church’ replaces Israel, but that is a misnomer that can be corrected by reading sources that include the intricate interweaving of the biblical data in the Hebrew and Greek texts.

See below links for the purchase or download of this book:

You can order a hardcopy of this book at Amazon with this link.

But some time ago permission was granted to allow free distribution as an electronic file and the link for that edition of this book is HERE (click to download the PDF document, just click on the book cover on the web page at WindowView).

Jewish persons who have explored the Tanach and have read passages such as in Isaiah 53, Proverbs 30: 4, the timeline that states when Messiah would come as presented in the book of Daniel, and elsewhere in Isaiah, Psalms, Malachi, Zechariah, and even a reference in Genesis, plus many other locations … all point to Yeshua.

Just thought ou might be interested …

Finishing A Must Read on Science and Theism

As the Director of WindowView and one who has examined both Science and Theistic data, I wish to convey an impression from finishing my first time reading Dr. Stephen C. Meyer’s book: “The Return of the God Hypothesis.” I’ll reread this book and in the near future, some of what is in book will add to the evidence in the WindowView site. But the ‘window’ offers multiple viewing perspectives to add to an even bigger picture—like the wider aspect of a picture window that ultimately clarifies what is coming soon to our world (whether you agree or not the evidence we have leads the way—not the web site or writings there, but what the evidence brings to us all).

First, I understand that many may simply reject he book based on the title. That would be an egregious mistake of huge proportions—simply because this book relates to authors and perspectives that span a huge range of disciplines and thought—historic and well recognized philosophic, scientific, and theistic thinkers. So, look at the title and just move on.

The text of the book is based on a growing base of evidence, not conjecture or mere interpretation. Over time, human appreciation for what science shows can in fact develop a stronger appreciation for what is theistic.

The content addresses issues in sequence and looks at what you might simply put as pros and then considers contrary thought. The review is meant to leave essentially no stone unturned. Views you presently hold, evidence you have or have never considered, and other areas are all brought to the surface.

The conclusion of the book even considers how we all grow in this life to ask those significant questions about being—why am I, how can I figure out the answer, is there more to my just thinking in this moment—and thus relates back to how specific and complex information along with a fine tuned universe and the incredible display of life on earth are a reflection of something truly significant—design or chance, Designer or coincidence—the evidence brings clarity.

The book reviews the significance of design in nature, physics, mathematics, start of a universe that is our home and in turn the evidence for intelligent design. However, the concept of intelligent design keeps running into critiques pointing to the idea of design comes without defining the designer. To the contrary, you are the one to think and possibly it will come to you and the answer presents itself regardless of any preconceived notion you may start with. Then think further. We all were brought into this life. I don’t recall being given the choice—I was born, have grown, am thinking, exploring, and with all the theistic and scientific data an answer appears.

You might start with the question as to whether scientific and theistic information can actually and seamlessly fit together. Specifically, do scientific journal data and the biblical text truly mesh into one consistent and comprehensive overview of our being and purpose for life? A major portion of what Dr. Meyer writes actually helps to provide perspectives providing an answer. But it is up to you to ask questions, think, and explore—your life is an opportunity to do so!

To read the book you may want to put in an online order here.

Again, WindowView brings multiple perspectives in sight and in the end the result is very well a harmony with Science and Scripture.

Apostate State of World Being

An overly simplified summary of what the WindowView web site is all about comes down to one initial concept: “Looking at multiple perspectives helps one to see the greater context to what life is.”  Within each perspective—such as those at WindowView, including Change, Science, Harmony, Timeline—one still needs to do some thinking. A keyword for all of us is “discern.” And to discern means to look at the larger field of information to assess what is true as opposed to false, misguided, bias, interpretation, assumption, or anything that is misleading. To discern in a way that is fair, this requires an open mind that is willing to be objective, but also a mind that is willing to go to multiple information sources and to look around. If you sit at your ‘window’ and really look at the lager view, then you will find opportunities to be objective and to seek what is a reliable viewpoint.

The fact that scientific and theistic information can be considered together may offer difficulty for some people. If that is you, then it’s less likely you will open your mind and explore. To look at a world of change, diametrically opposing views from science, theism, business, politics, and to include the oppositional behaviors and forces posed by various nations all over the world—this all leads to something that has been long ago projected as the eventual state of being. Yes, that is already documented in advance.  And it seems we have arrived at that state. This should be a concern to all alive today.

The title of this post starts with the word ‘apostate.’ This is being referenced in relation to one portion of Scripture that describes the status of believers at a specific point in world history—and that point in time appears to be now. Apostate is a term that can be defined as: “a person who renounces a religious or political belief or principle.” And sound principles might be objective or well founded on truth. To go one step further, apostasy is more the activity of abandoning such relevant belief or foundational principles.

Today we see persons who abandon the notion that change is occurring in the natural world—as in climate change—or that science information is helpful in addressing important issues—like taking a vaccine to prevent the further spread of a pandemic disease—or more so to contradict Scripture as religious groups decide to use Scripture in ways to their liking … and not as the biblical text intends.

This post is not going to lay down examples to say you may be involved to apostate actions or behaviors, but instead is simply pointing to this being a time when apostasy is occurring today in so many areas of the human experience—across the entire globe today—to signify something that the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures foretell as coming next. We are complex and specific human beings built on highly specified genetic information, living in a universe with highly fine-tuned conditions … so much so, as to point to our being here by design. And if that Designer is the God of the Bible, then Scripture that says apostasy will come to bring an end of an era, then you might want to see the relevance to change, science, and what the harmony of biblical texts say … and seeing how that pertains to your life right now.

In case you are wanting a reference … from the Greek [Revelation 3:14-21], you can, in part, see the reference to apostasy through people who are material and not attentive to God’s will. Reference to repenting, for example, exposes leaders who lead for their own purposes and not in the way Scripture would point to the Designer’s will.

Ears to hear, eyes to see, fully, allow a mind to truly discern. And that is why WindowView was developed. Maybe not perfect, but certainly here to get you to do some thinking!

Isaiah 53 As A New Song

In a previous post you were able to connect to a WindowView.org web page that provides access to understanding the importance of the verses in Isaiah 53. The prophet is essentially letting all Israel know who the Messiah is … His identity is unmistakable and the prophet’s words were written hundreds of years before Yeshua appeared to Israel. As then and as is now, these words are a key that unlocks so much of what else Scripture. has to tell us.

Today we received an email from Joshua Aaron that included a link to his friend’s new song … the song is based on Isaiah 53, sung by Aaron Shust and accompanied by Shai Sol.

Click on the image below to be taken to YouTube to hear the song!
